"History
shows that every intelligent man who has gone into this investigation,
if he gave it adequate examination at all, has come out believing
in spirits; this circumstance places the burden of proof on
the shoulders of the skeptic."
James H. Hyslop, Ph.D. professor of logic and ethics at Columbia University

Soule
Proves The Soul
A medium in America sits for the sister of a woman
in Germany who is seeking proof of her deceased
husband's continuation. Through several sittings
she provides numerous specific facts that are
only known to the wife in Germany. In addition,
the researcher has a conversation in German with
the spirit, a language not known by the medium.

[14 May
2013] A new
Survival Top 40 case titled Keeping Them In the
Family has been posted (#77). This case concerns two sisters
murdered on the streets of England who are reborn as twins
to the same family. Thoroughly investigated by Ian Stevenson,
Ph.D., and others, the case is an excellent counter to those
who posit genetic memory or fetal telepathy as an alternative
to reincarnation..
[10 May
2013] A
Cross-Examination of Stephen Hawking, by Victor Zammit,
LL.D., Ph.D., has been added to the AECES Document
Library. The renowned cosmologist is taken to fictional
court and forced to face the ramifications of making ignorant
speculations and denials concerning the afterlife.
[27 April
2013] The biography of Archie Roy has been added to
the Legacy Files.
Roy was professor emeritus of astronomy and honorary research
fellow in the University of Glasgow. He served as president
of the Society for Psychical Research (SPR) (1993-95) and
was founder of the Scottish Society for Psychical Research.
[23 April
2013] The
Survival Top 40 list has been reorganized. The cases
are now listed in order by date, not by ESS score. This move
is intended to minimize discussion as to whether one case
should be ranked as more convincing than some other case.
The scoring system is still used to determine qualification
for the list; but, any case that scores sufficiently high
to qualify for inclusion in the top 40 list should be considered
worthy of being labeled as one of the "most convincing."
The numerical score earned will still be printed at the top
of each case description .
